Best Local Bar: Downtown Cocktail Room (the DCR to those in the know).

Best Off-Strip Casino: Red Rock in Summerlin.

Best Tapas: The Firefly (both locations—try the one downtown at the Plaza Hotel—the view is amazing).

Best Locals Breakfast: the Omelet House on Charleston.
